Prayer Requests from the Synod

  • In Thanksgiving for the Life of Ed Kruse

Lord, we pray for the friends and family of Deacon Ed Kruse, PhD. We ask for your comforting Spirit to rest upon all who feel the weight of his absence. Fill the void left by his passing with the light of the resurrection, and hold his loved ones close in your enduring peace.. Lord, in your mercy… receive our prayer.

  • For the Strength of Community

Lord, we look to our neighbors in Westby and Blair, whose homes and landscapes have been altered by wind and ice. In the wake of the tornado and the battering hail, remind them that they do not labor alone. Be present in the sound of the hammer and the helping hand of the neighbor. Even as the earth blooms, we remember those for whom this season brings physical discomfort and the burden of allergies; grant them relief and the simple gift of health. Lord, in your mercy… receive our prayer.

Emerging Leaders

  • For Pastor Phil Waselik on Sabbatical

We pray for Pastor Phil Waselik during his sabbatical in Rome. Guide his studies, grant him clarity in his doctoral work, and bless his time of rest and reflection. We look forward to his return and the wisdom he will share with our community. Lord, in your mercy… receive our prayer.

  • For Our Seminarian, Jeff Hoch

Holy God, we pray for Jeff Hoch as he navigates the challenges and joys of seminary life at Wartburg. Bless his teachers, his studies, and his heart for ministry. Keep him rooted in your Word and encouraged by your grace as he follows your call. Lord, in your mercy… receive our prayer.

  • For Our Global Partnership

We look forward with joy to the arrival of Secretary Martin Balcar from the Czech Republic. Guard his travels and prepare our hearts to be a place of true hospitality. May his time among us deepen the roots of our companion synod relationship, reminding us that though we are separated by an ocean, we are united by one Spirit and one mission. Lord, in your mercy… receive our prayer.
