Supportive Spaces by ELCA Coaching

Wednesdays, October 1 - November 5 (6 week Cohort)

Time: 3-4pm Central

As we process changes and transitions, we are often grappling with complex emotions and concerns for ourselves and our communities. In response, we are hosting Supportive Spaces conversation opportunities to come together as people of faith, share our experiences, and find healing and strength in community.

Purpose:

  • Provide a safe, confidential space for open dialogue

  • Address fears and anxieties

  • Explore ways to move toward healing

Key Discussion Topics:

  • Concerns and emotional responses

  • Self-care practices for leaders under stress

  • Strategies for addressing fears and promoting resilience

  • Strategies for supporting vulnerable communities

We believe that by coming together, we can find comfort and wisdom, and then we can reflect the healing love found in God’s promises to one another.

Supportive Spaces is a cohort-based program designed to enhance the holistic well-being and effectiveness of church leaders. Participants will engage in a transformative journey, meeting for one hour each week for six (6) weeks.

ELCA Coaching will provide at least one ICF-accredited and professionally-certified grief and loss coach to facilitate each support group. For this cohort, that coach will be Jen Kunka, ACC.

* An important definition: The coaching ministry defines "faith leaders" as all members of the Body | "priesthood of all believers"| Beloved Community, so even if you do not feel like you are a leader, you are welcome in this space.
