• For Summer Ministries and Community Connections God of the warm sun and open skies, we give you thanks for the vibrant gifts of the summer season. We lift up our congregations as they step outside their church walls to meet our neighbors in new and creative ways:

  • For outdoor worship services, where we praise you alongside the beauty of your creation;

  • For participation in community parades, as we celebrate our towns and extend a visible message of your radical welcome and love;

  • For community rummage sales, that they may be spaces of connection, hospitality, and mindful stewardship of our resources;

  • For Vacation Bible School ministries, that our young people, volunteers, and leaders may be filled with joy, curiosity, and a deepening sense of their sacred worth;

  • And for all the other seasonal ministries that bring our neighborhoods together.

  God of inclusion and beloved community, we lift up the vital ministry of LuMin Campus Ministry in La Crosse, serving the students of UW-La Crosse, Viterbo University, and Western Technical College. We pray for Pastor Kathryn Thompson as they walk alongside young adults, fostering spaces of sacred doubt, holistic accompaniment, and authentic connection. Even as campuses quiet down for the summer, sustain LuMin as a sanctuary of radical hospitality and LGBTQIA+ affirmation, and empower these emerging leaders as they show up for local justice, equity, and the liberation of all people. As our neighbors face the compounding crises of economic hardship, mental health struggles, and extreme summer weather, sustain their workers, advocates, and volunteers. Grant them courage, resources, and deep resilience as they disrupt cycles of harm, dismantle barriers to care, and labor for the dignity and well-being of every person. • For Sugar Creek Bible Camp & Luther Park Bible Camp
  Sheltering God, we lift up the sacred ministries of Sugar Creek Bible Camp in Ferryville and Luther Park Bible Camp in Chetek. We pray especially for the campers, counselors, and staff navigating the outdoors during this intense heat wave. Guard their health, keep them well-hydrated, and grant them wisdom and caution in their rhythms of play and rest.
